Investment Process:

I try to respect the time of founders and try to avoid unnecessary meetings when possible. Nevertheless, I’m trying to build conviction in your startup. The investment process is a balance of those two things.

  1. Email me your intro deck and brief company description to [email protected]. If the company is of interest, we’ll jump on a short call.
  2. 30-40min zoom call. I prefer that founders present their deck over talking without a deck.
  3. After understanding the high level business, I ask for your data room to go in more detail
    1. Depending on the company, I ask for potential calls with your CTO, VP Sales, a customer or two.
  4. One last call for detailed questions
  5. Investment Decision - Yay or Nay
  6. For companies that we would like to invest in, I personally write the investment memo and summary to CBVP members.
  7. Startup CEO presentation to members CBVP - typically a 1hr zoom call (30 min pitch followed by a 30 min Q&A)
